CHMM-MI Registration and Cancellation Policy

The Certified Hazardous Materials Managers of Michigan presents an Annual Conference as well as Certification Review Courses. These events require a large, advance commitment of time and money. To use these precious resources wisely, we must know the expected attendance. Both last minute attendees and "no shows" are very costly in money lost and stress on our volunteers. (Our volunteers are definitely our most precious resource. We cannot function without them.) We have thus adopted the following reservation and cancellation policy.

Certification Review Course:

1. A student is not considered registered until payment has been received.
2. Registration subject to availability of space and course materials.
3. For cancellation made at least 2 weeks prior to course start date, the student will receive a refund of tuition less $15 processing fee.
4. For cancellation made less than 2 weeks prior to course start date, the student will receive a refund of tuition less $115 to cover processing and printing of course materials.
5. A registered student may send a substitute with no penalty.

Annual Conference

1. An attendee is not considered registered until payment has been received.
2. Registration less than 1 week prior to the Conference date will require a $20 surcharge, and is subject to availability.
3. For cancellation at least 1 week prior to Conference date, the attendee will receive a refund of the registration cost less $5 processing fee.
4. For cancellation within 1 week of the Conference date, the attendee will receive a refund of the registrations cost less $40 to cover processing, food, and Conference materials.
5. A registered attendee may send a substitute with no penalty.
